How Does Temperature Affect Polaroid Film?

When shooting, keep in mind that Polaroid film works best at moderate temperatures (13–28°C)‼️ Temperatures outside this range may affect the film in unpredictable ways, changing the colors and saturation.

Shooting in the Cold ❄️ (<13°C):

Below 13°C, photos often appear overexposed, lacking color contrast, and tend to have a greenish-blue tint. When shooting in low temperatures, we recommend allowing your photo to develop inside an inner jacket pocket or close to your body. It's also helpful to keep the camera close to your body to maintain its operating temperature.

Shooting in the Heat ☀️ (>28°C):

At temperatures above 28°C, color photos may develop with a yellow or red tint. To minimize this, cool your film packs in the fridge before heading outside. You can also allow your photos to develop in a cooler environment, like an air-conditioned room or under a cold drink (just be careful to avoid moisture!).

We hope this post was helpful — may your photos turn out even better! ❤️
